Dr. Sanjeeva Maithripala
D. H. S. Maithripala received the BSc degree in mechanical engineering, and the MPhil in engineering mathematics, in 2000, from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 1996 and 2000, respectively, and the MS and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering (with a minor in mathematics), from Texas Tech University in 2001 and 2003, respectively. From
2006 to 2008 he was a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing, University of Ruhuna, Galle, Sri Lanka and since 2009 he has been a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Currently he is also serving as a Visiting Professor of the Department of Systems and Control Engineering at IIT-Bombay and a Senior Research Scientist and Advisor for academic affairs and research at SLTC. His current research interests include decision making theory, decentralized coordinated motion of multi-agent systems, and nonlinear geometric control with a focus on UAVs and robotics.
