SLTC Students Win Deakin Innovation Challenge 2018

A team of young innovators made of Sadev Kalubowila, L.A.S.Lakshan, Chamari Lakmali,Danushi Wijewardhane and M.V.S. Fernando from the School of Engineering, has been placed 2nd runners up in the Deakin Innovation Challenge Sri Lanka 2018 for their product ; AYU+ Symptom Analyser; an application designed to provide an accurate medical diagnosis by scanning certain body parts of an individual (eyes, nails, tongue, skin).

This competition which was hosted by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment at Deakin University, Australia was aimed at choosing the best designed software and hardware systems for sustainable technology.

The team going by the name, Team Dominators, became the 2nd Runners up at the IEEE Innovation Nation Sri Lanka 2018 organized by IEEE Sri Lanka Section last December.
