SLTC together with ACCESS Engineering lay foundation stone for the next luxury student accommodation

SLTC launched the provisioning of another 400-bed on-campus student accommodation with shared facilities, with the partnership of Access Engineering PLC. The foundation stone ceremony was held on Tuesday, 5th March 2019 with dignitaries from both academia and industry. Chief guest for the ceremony was Emeritus Professor, KKYW Perera, Chancellor of the University of Moratuwa, who mentioned that it was great to see the interest that SLTC showed towards the well being of its student population and the efficiency with which these projects are carried out. Founder President and CEO of SLTC, Engineer Ranjith G. Rubasinghe mentioned this is another big step towards the true university experience.

Entire project duration is 6 months and it is planned to ready the facility for the next intake by September 2019. This will enrich student experience and satisfaction, by providing them a liberal environment to pursue their higher education and research while honouring the understanding we are having with the parents. With the aim of providing best possible infrastructure and facilities to the students, while enhancing the natural beauty, elegance and liveability at the campus through every infrastructure development carried out. A tree planting ceremony was also carried along with the foundation stone ceremony. 100 trees including Jack, Mango, Kumbuk and Mee, were planted in the premises with the aim of preserving the natural beauty at the university.
